Eseguendo un’installazione pulita di Windows 7 o Windows 8.1, vi aspetterebbero centinaia di aggiornamenti da installare. Per questo motivo, a partire da ottobre 2016 Microsoft ha deciso di rilasciare ogni mese un nuovo aggiornamento cumulativo per Windows 7 SP1 e Windows 8.1.

Aggiornamento cumulativo di luglio 2019
Per Windows 7, Microsoft ha rilasciato l’aggiornamento KB4507449 con il seguente changelog:
- Security updates to Windows Server, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Shell, Windows Input and Composition, and Windows Kernel.
Per Windows 8.1, Microsoft ha rilasciato l’aggiornamento KB4507448 con il seguente changelog:
- Addresses an issue that may cause BitLocker to go into recovery mode if BitLocker is being provisioned at the same time as updates are being installed.
- Security updates to Windows Wireless Networking, Windows Server, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Microsoft Graphics Component, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Kernel, and Windows App Platform and Frameworks.
